A city-building game on energy efficiency

A WASA Games project. Done with the support of Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources Naturelles du Québec (previously Transition Énergétique Québec). From January 2020 to June 2021, then from January to December 2022

 

Objective
Raise awareness about energy efficiency in urban settings and encourage behavioural changes.

Mandate

  • Design and production of 1 analog educational game (2020-2021)

  • Facilitation of workshops with teenagers between 12-17 years old, in high schools across the province of Québec. (2020-2021 and 2022)

  • Development and distribution of a toolkit “ready-to-play” for teachers. Distribution of license. (2022)

Impact

  • 1 game

  • 1 license for high school teachers

  • 28 workshops (2020-2021) in Montréal, Brossard, Saint-Hyacinthe, Laval, Lévis and Québec

  • 32 workshops (2022) across Montréal, Québec, and Saguenay

  • 755 participants (2020-2021)
